Tax Training Time-is upon us.
We will again be offering Free Income Tax Preparation through VITA starting in January and you are welcome to volunteer.
The United Way will be holding New Volunteer Training classes evenings for three separate weeks in January. All new volunteers wanting to prepare taxes MUST attend the in-class course, New this year, however, is the requirement that anyone volunteering in any capacity must also complete a short on-line certification covering IRS basics such as quality and confidentiality even those volunteers who do not prepare taxes. The process is easy and the class room seats fill-up quickly, so let Kimberly know if you are considering serving in this ministry for the coming season so we can have all the requirements met in time for the season kick-off!
